He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Blankenship Sanders and James E. Sanders; and his brothers, James Boyd Sanders (J. B.) and William Corby Sanders (Jacqueline "Carlene" Sanders). He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Sanders; his son Eric Thomas Sanders; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Sanders, Lisa Fields (Louis) and Terry Chapman; and his cousins, Robin Richardson (Bill) and Eddie Ferrell (Alice). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
