Dwight D. Foster Obituary
Dwight D. Foster passed away at his mom's home in Dandridge, TN at 1:45 am, Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his dad, Kenny Foster; grandparents, Shade and Pauline Foster and Dock and Idell Smallman; and uncle, Bill Smallman.
Dwight is survived by his son, David (Kayla) Foster; brother, Darrell Foster; mom, Pat Smallman Foster Maples; grandchildren, Savannah, Ariel, and Dayton; cousins, whom he loved like his own brothers and sisters, Danny and Donnie Hensley, Debbie Griffey, and Darlene Jarnigan; many other special cousins; nephew, Tim (Nikki) Foster; and countless other family and friends.
To know Dwight was to love Dwight and he wanted to say goodbye to everyone. Dwight fought stage 4 lung cancer until his body could no longer suffer the pain, so at 1:45 am, he said out loud, "Jesus, come get me" then he drew his last breath and silently went home to be with the Lord.
A receiving of friends will be Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Fielden Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 3, 2023, in Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Travis Russell officiating.
