He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Rutherford; his parents, Fred Rutherford and Doris Rutherford; and his son Sonny Rutherford.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fielden Funeral Home (910 Churchview St, New Market, TN 37820). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pollard Cemetery.
