He was predeceased by: his parents, G. W. Devotie and Ethel Payne Devotie; and his sisters, Gladys Gass, Lula Bell Love, Dollie Gass, Ruth Ball, Rosie Devotie, Dorothy Cox, Ruby Shropshire and Bertie Aileen Devotie.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Devotie; his daughter Elaine Higdon; his grandchildren, Cody and Carianna Higdon; his great grandchild Kadence Higdon; and his brother Rev. Joe Devotie of Jefferson City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
