It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edward Gass of Jefferson City, Tennessee, who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Conard (Austre), Paul Snow (Eloise), Peggy (William Denton), Kathryn (John Bible), Maxine (James Minter), Jim (Bernice), Kenneth and Bob (Mary).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Talley Gass; his sons, Michael (Beth Rushing), Brian (Lori Stephens), Patrick (Susan Gass) and Brent (Susannah Shumate); his grandchildren, Rebecca Balmes (Gabriel), Melissa Rushing, Mason, Forrest Stephens, Jacob, Noah and Grace Gass; his great grandchildren, Asher, Noah, Oliver and Eli Balmes; and his sister-in-law Janie Talley Gass (Kenneth). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
