She was predeceased by: her former husband Garrett Mallicoat; her husband Bearnard Whaley; her parents, William Holt and Ada Mae Holt; her brother Gerald Holt; and her pets, Bre and Baby.
She is survived by: her daughter Vonda Laughlin Dockery; her son-in-law Michael D. Dockery; her siblings, Ronald Holt (Ruth) and Jean Rucker (Paul); her sister-in-law Joann Mallicoat; and her friend Virginia Wolfe. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials to be made to the C.A.R.E animal shelter.
