He was predeceased by: his parent Harley Schwegler. He is survived by: his parent Melba Schwegler (Bush); his wife Virginia Ruiz Schwegler; his children, Laurie Matney (Bill), Angela Helton (Scott), Todd Schwegler (Marcela) and Scott Schwegler; his granddaughter Brooke Helton; his brother Paul Schwegler (Karen); and also Costa Rica.
