He was predeceased by: his parents, John Douglas Tate and Betty Evans Tate; and his sister Joyce Taylor. He is survived by: his sons, Jeremy Jones (Nicole), Matthew Tate (Kaila) and Joseph Tate (Ashley); his brothers, Steven Tate (Joyce) and Chester Tate (Betty); and his grandchildren, Alexis Bolton, Joseph Gabriel Tate, Marley Newsom, Evie Jones, Emma Swafford, Easton Jones, Elliana Newsom and Betty-Katherine Tate. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members, and special friends.
