He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Kindred and Annie Humphry Kindred of Rocky Springs, AL; and his siblings, Clyde Kindred, Edward Kindred, Ruby Ward, Mae Middleton, Kathaleen Bates and Gladis Kindred.
He is survived by: his wife Bettie Witt Kindred; his children, Gerry (Janice) of Jasper, TN, Sandra Jeffers (Perry) of Priceville, AL and Gregory Kindred of Soddy-Daisy, TN; and his brother Cecil Kindred (Linda). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 14 great grand-children, and one great-great grandchild.
