It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Vaughn Parsons of Jasper, Tennessee, born in Monroe, Georgia, who passed away on June 19, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albe Vaughn and Lois Vaughn; her husband George M. Parsons, Jr.; and her siblings, Fred, Thomas Butler, Albe Lee, Maurice, Doris Vaughn Grant and Alice Vaughn Cromer.
She is survived by: her sons, George "Moody" Parsons, III (Marlene) of Jasper, TN. and Fred Parsons (Melody) of Jasper, TN.; her granddaughters, Leslie Ann Sharp (Jason) of Nashville, TN and Dr. Rachel Nall (Kent) of Chattanooga, TN; and her great grandchildren, Colin, Caleb Sharp, Kendall and Blair Nall. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and their children.
Memorial donations can be made to the Marion County Food Bank as well as the Building Fund at the First Baptist Church of Jasper, TN.
