He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude W. Watts and Frances Lewis Watts; his wife Barbara Jo Turner Watts; and his brother Lloyd Watts. He is survived by: his children, Tim Watts and Sheila Puryear (Charles Puryear); and his grandsons, Christopher Payne (Marshiela) and Dr. Charles Puryear (Julie). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Tate Funeral Home (950 Mel Dixon Ln, Jasper, TN 37347). A masonic service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens (3076 Main St, Jasper, TN 37347).
