He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Powell and Maudia Mae Geer (Davis); and his siblings, Bill Geer, Bennie Douglas Geer, J. V. Geer, Phillip Geer, Paul Geer, Peggy Beaty, Ivaglen Thompson and Caroline Geer.
He is survived by: his wife Retha Geer (Sharp); his children, Lisa Jackson (Travis), Ronnie Geer and Donnie Geer (Honey); his grandchildren, Brylee, Emmitt, Alek and Zaira; and his brother David Geer (Dixie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made towards the funeral expenses.
