He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Pierce and Sadie Pierce; and also Betty Slaven Pierce. He is survived by: his son Gary Pierce (Jenine); his sister-in-law Edith Williams (Wendell); and his children, Hershel R. Pierce, Betty M. Pierce and Johnathan Scott Pierce. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
