He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelious Vanderbilt Madewell and Laura Grace Madewell (Sells); his siblings, Lee Madewell Charles Madewell (June) and Emogene York (Odell); and his siblings-in-law, Bea Madewell and Jerry Bialek.

He is survived by: his siblings, Sam Madewell and Anna Faye Bialek; and his close friend Jimmy Roberts. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews.
