She was predeceased by: her husband James Avery Carter; her parents, James Ward Dale and Mary Magdalene Dale; and her brothers, Mark Dale and Jerry Dukes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carrie Lund (Matthew) and Beverly Ruff (Mark) of Jamestown, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Kristen Mantalto, Christopher Lund, Maggie Ruff and AJ Ruff; her sisters, Nancy Dale Hickox of Yulee and Mary Dale Henry of Jamestown, Tennessee; and her sister-in-law Leona Dukes of Jacksonville. She is also survived by Six great grandchildren.
