He was predeceased by: his daughters, Trish Rankin and Kathie Ferrari; his granddaughters, Mackenzie Brown and Kirsten Rankin; his parents, Oswald South and Margie South (Owens); his siblings, Hershel South, Stanley Young, Junior South and Rose Gurwell; and his brother-in-law Randy Morris.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy South, Timothy South and Billy Allen South, Jr.; his grandchildren, Ashley Lowe (Mark), Mandee Warden (Justin), Brandon Rankin (Catherine), Molly Ferrari, Cheyenne Taubert (Craig) and Amber South; his great grandchildren, Asher Hull, Kurtis Hull, Bowe South, Abbie Warden and Brylee Duncan; and his siblings, Wilda, Wanda, Charles, Charlene and Shirley A. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
