He was predeceased by: his wife Nola Alma Choate (Stephens); his parents, Rufus Choate and Sarah Jane Choate (Hood); his daughters, Barbara Nadolni and Grace Ann Hall (Harvey); his grandsons, Bill Hall and Tim Choate; and his siblings, Vanleer Choate, Denver Choate, Chloe Conatser, Houck Choate, Boyd Choate, Rufus Choate, Claxton Choate, Ruby Beaty, Margie Lambert, Cain Choate and Sarah Carter.
He is survived by: his son Hershel Choate; and his son-in-law John Nadolni A Host. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
