He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Mischke and Frances Covington Mischke; and his sister Mary Ellen Nelson. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Burkett of Mayfield, KY; his children, Steven (Marilou), Philip (Lisa) and Paula (Donald); and also, David and Harison.
A graveside service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ridgecrest Cemetery (200 Ridgecrest Rd, Jackson, TN 38305). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Edward Chapel at Trezevant Manor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to St. John's United Methodist Church in Memphis, TN.
