He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Melton and Hattie Clay Melton. He is survived by: his wife Brenda McAdams; his children, Teri Jean Melton Vaughn (James) and Christopher Scott Melton (Regina); his grandchildren, Kirsti Erin Desizlets Johnston (Barry), Brianna Vaughn Elkins (Tate), Bailey Melton Shaver (Cole) and Noah Melton; and his great grandchildren, Allison Elkins, Bryson Elkins, Ezra Johnston, Amelia Johnston, Iris Johnston and Riley Kate Shaver.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - East Main Chapel (619 E Main St, Henderson, TN 38340). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Unity Cemetery (2465 TN-22 Alt, Luray, TN 38347).
