He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Herman Scott and Lena Rose Kolwyck Scott; his wife Sue Deaton Scott; and his siblings, Martha Harper, Freda Russell, Audrey Scott, Richard Scott and Mayo Scott.

He is survived by : his daughters, Susan O'Meara and Lori Hanafee (David); his grandsons, Joseph McKinney (Conie) and Joshua Baker; and his great grandchild Juliann McKinney.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons (2812 N Highland Ave, Jackson, TN 38305).
