He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Butler and Marie Coffman Butler. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Butler (Lacey) and Hannah Blackmon (Bart); his granddaughter Winney Butler; and his siblings, Susan Butler, Patricia Ellis and Kenny Butler.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons (2812 N Highland Ave, Jackson, TN 38305).
