He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Franks and Elsie Brown Hill; his spouse Mable Smith; his children, Becky Smith of Savannah, Tennessee, Jayne Shelby of Savannah, Tennessee, Lee Qualls of Savannah, Tennessee, Pokey Franks of Savannah, Tennessee, Tracy Franks of Savannah, Tennessee and Jon Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; his siblings, Doris Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee, Polly Gooch of Savannah, Tennessee, Ruby Gammill of Savannah, Tennessee, Betty Davison of Savannah, Tennessee, Martha McCasland of Savannah, Tennessee, Joanne Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee and Jessie Franks of Savannah; his children, Carolyn Todd and Michael Franks; his grandson Steve Qualls, Jr.; his great grandchild Jayden Shelby; and his siblings, Esther Holt, Lester Holt, Coy Franks and Robert Hill. He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
