He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Simmons III and Carolyn Cook Simmons. He is survived by: his pet Gretl; his brother Wilburn; his sister-in-law Susan Simmons; and his niece Amanda Simmons of Cordova, TN. He is also survived by friends, co-workers and classmates.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dyersburg Funeral Home (420 US-51, Dyersburg, TN 38024). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family ask that memorials be directed to a community charity of the donor's choosing.
