He was predeceased by: his grandfather Charles; his parents, Charles Kennon and Grace Kennon; and his wife Sarah Jane Wood Kennon. He is survived by: his children, Melanie J. Kennon (Jimmie Hefner) and Woody Kennon (Cindy); his brother Larry D. Kennon (Day); his grandchildren, Scott Darnell (Natalie), Lynsey McLaughlin (Andy) and Kirsten Dement (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Owen, Henry, Ben, Olive, Cooper, Josie and Walker.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home North (2812 N Highland Ave, Jackson, TN 38305). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shriner's Children's Hospitals or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Papa Charles' name.
