He was predeceased by: his child Cierra Harmon; his sibling Woodrow Harmon; and his parents, Samuel Scott Harmon and Bessie Isabell Harmon. He is survived by: his spouse Violet Taylor Harmon of Jacksboro, TN.; his children, Mike Harmon (Angela) and Archer Harmon (Robert); his grandchildren, London Yerta, Keenan Harmon, Monet Brinkman and Kala Rosenbaum; and his siblings, Betty Harmon Hawkins, Samuel Jack Harmon, Roy Lee Harmon and Shirley Harmon.
