He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Asbury and Mae Fields Asbury; his siblings, Donald, Carson, Bill, Marvin Asbury and Florene Powell; and his grandson John Adam Asbury.

He is survived by: his wife Iretha Rutherford Asbury; his children, Monica (Don Baird) and William Bradley Asbury (Amanda); his grandchildren, Anthony Baird, Christy Garner and Caleb Asbury; and his siblings, J. T. Asbury and June Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends.
