She was predeceased by: her father Luther Lay; her husband Roger Barnes; and her brother Lewis Lay. She is survived by: her son Kenny Barnes (Kim); her granddaughters, Jessica Freeman (Jason) and Brittany Broughton (Nathan); her great grandchildren, Lauren, Gaige, Bentley, Maddox, Canon, Tylee and Kaelin; her brothers, Ronnie Lay (Patricia), Donald Lay (Peggy) and Dewayne Lay (Nora); her niece Beth Lewis of Maynardville; and her caregiver Josh. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and host of more relatives and friends.
