He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Burris of Jacksboro; his children, Jimmy Burris, Jr. (Cindy) of Caryville and Natalie Shorter (Dustin) of Nashville; his stepchild Meribeth Cotton (Adam Kitts) of Jacksboro; his siblings, Junior Burris (Libby) of Oliver Springs, Donny Burris of Nashville, Arthur Neer of Clinton and Nancy Andrews (Cotton) of Caryville; his siblings-in-law, Tommie Witthohn (Jim) of Florida, Glenna Ball (Johnny) of Jacksboro, Johnny Bruce (Diane) of Jacksboro, Eddie Bruce (Mona) of LaFollette and Danny Bruce (Vickie) of LaFollette; and his grandchildren, Katelynn Burris, Ellie Burris and Colton Shorter.
