She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Brogden of Strawberry Plains, TN; her parents, Ancil Meredith and Etta Meredith of Jacksboro, TN; and her siblings, Paul Meredith of Knoxville, TN, John Meredith and Oral Ruth Creswell of Alcoa, TN..

She is survived by: her sister Carolyn Poole; her sister-in-law Ada Meredith of Knoxville, TN.; her daughters, Paulette Gayden of Nashville, TN and Terri Jane Schaffer; her stepdaughter Carolyn Brogden Cooper of Knoxville, TN; and her grandchildren, Whitney Lawson, Rachel Marie Schaffer, Stephen Schaffer, Kara Edenfield and Kevin Cooper.

Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or other expressions of condolence, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
