He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Everett Gaylor and Lucy Hatmaker Gaylor; his brother Floyd Gaylor; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Thelma Hembree Queener; and his brother-in-law Alva Queener.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Helen Queener Gaylor; his sister Joann Snodderly; and his nephew Steven Queener.
