He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ambrose and Ora Clementine Newsom Jones; his wife Earlene Bailey; his brothers, Leon Jones, Lelton Jones and Newsome Jones; and his great grandchild Nick Finch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patsy Denton of Jacks Creek and Karen Shumate (Billy) of Jacks Creek; his sister Olene Brown of Little Rock, AR; and his grandchildren, Angie Finch, Tonya Clark, Cory Shumate, Amanda Bayless, Kristen Cates and Dustin Shumate. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
