He is survived by: his wife Betty Elway; his sons, David Elway, Jr. (Dedra), Jeremy Elway, Matthew Elway (Ashley) and John Elway (Elizabeth); and his siblings, Daniel Elway, Alice Erskine, Eileen "Pudge" Swafford, Mary Ellen Williams, Jean Definnis and Virginia Reese. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
