He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Dillard and Ruby Elizabeth Risner Cheek; and his brothers, William Warren Cheek and Curtis Wade Cheek. He is survived by: his wife Willodean Lafan Cheek; his sons, Byron Cheek (Teresa James) and Timothy Wade Cheek; his siblings, Manson Lee Cheek, Danny Lewis Cheek and Carolyn Ruth Stephenson; and his grandchildren, Alana Cheek, Bentley Cheek, Mallory Anderson, McKenzie Luster, Josh James, Tyler James and Ashley Lacey. He is also survived by Great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors (993 TN-13, Collinwood, TN 38450). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
