He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph S. West and Mattie Frances Martin West; his wife Pauline Stults Henson; his grandchildren, Chasity Jones and Elijah Jack Edwards; his daughter-in-law Rebecca "Becky" West; and his great grandchild Ashtin Grimes.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Eugene Henson (Kathy) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ernie Steve West (Susan) of Collinwood, TN, Darrell Dewayne West (Inkie) of Collinwood, TN, David Shane West (Dalene) of Collinwood, TN, Linda Kelley of Collinwood, TN, Donna Edwards (Ricky) of Summertown, TN and Darlene Reed (Billy) of Collinwood, TN; and his close friends, Charles Skillern (Frances) and Carl Harper (Judy). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Ashtin Grimes Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Wayne County Bank.
