He was predeceased by: his wife Mary F. Burnette (Polly); his daughter Karen E. Burnette; and his parents, James Emory and Ola Mae Burnett. He is survived by: his son William L. Burnette, Jr. (Charla) of Lexington, TN; his grandchildren, William L. Burnette, III (Jessica Benefield) of Nashville and Carolyn Blair Burnette of Lansing, MI.; his cousin Ozelle Carder (Tom); and also, Don and Esther.
