He is survived by: his children, Bertie Newport of Huntsville, TN, Sheila Sherman (Cory) of Oneida, TN, Renee Brisson (Gary Love) of Marysville, OH and Roger M. Newport, Jr. (Crystal Shaner) of Port Jefferson, OH; his siblings, Carl Newport of Norma, TN, James Newport of Pioneer, TN and Shelby O'Neil (Tim) of Calhoun, GA; and his close friends, Lyhue Crowley, Dave and Vicki Guisinger. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; many special nieces and nephews.
