She was predeceased by: her parents, John Willie Carpenter and Mary Ollie Crabtree Carpenter; her daughter Heather King Thompson; her siblings, John Carpenter Jr., Shirley Jean Riseden and Sheila Faye Gurganus; and her grandchildren, Tyler and Savannah Laxton.
She is survived by: her husband John Ginn; her children, Jared Ginn (Christy), April Ross (R. J.) and Crystal McKiddy (Nicholas); her grandchildren, Mariah Massengale, Riley Phillips, Dakota Ross, Gracie Harness (Isaiah), Lily Hill, Loralie Thompson, Jaren Ginn, Noah Acres, Parker Thompson, Jordian Ross, Caylynn Wilson and Ranay Ross; and her close friends, Debbie Russ and Wanda Lowe.
