He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Clayton Daugherty and Ercil Sheppard Daugherty; his children, Roger Daugherty and Debra Simms; and his siblings, Rolla Daugherty, Bea Soderlund, Lucille Bryant and Marjorie Batten.
He is survived by: his wife Helen "Sue" Daugherty; and his children, Ralph Daugherty, Jr., Steven Daugherty (Sue), Douglas Daugherty, Michael Daugherty (Karen), Shelly Williams, Gordan Daugherty (Lori) and Missy Buell (Steve). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
