He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewell Crabtree and Minerva Byrd Crabtree; his wife Judith Ann Crabtree; his daughters, Katherine Sue Lowe and Frances Mae Harness; his sisters, Ruth, Mabel, Edith and Opal; his brothers-in-law, Tony, Hal, Billy Don, Walter and Billy Claude; and his sons-in-law, Marshall Lowe and Fenley Harness.
He is survived by: his children, James "Buddy" Crabtree (Joyce Ann) and Margaret "Sissy" Crabtree (Jonathan Cook); his grandchildren, Gloria Bowling, Wanda Day (Pat), Jennifer Carroll (Rick), Zamma Lowe (Zack), Jenny Green (Dean), Tracy Harness, Emily Burchfield, Kayla Crabtree, Haley Crabtree (Jeff), Josh Newport (Jennifer) and Crystal Byrge; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Nena, Courtney, Abygale, Logan, Jonathan, Mariah, Tyler, Olivia, Blake, Damean and Tyson; his great great grandchild Hazel; his siblings, Charles Crabtree (Jerri), L. B. Crabtree (Ruth), Ollie Chambers, Cassie Whisnant and Daisy Lloyd; his close friends, Dean West, Jordan West, Rick Allen and Donnie Gibson; and also Everleigh.
