He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Taylor Gibson; his child Jerry Gibson; his siblings, Gaither, Bob, Glendell, Linda Ward and Dorothy Phillips; and his grandson Noah Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky Williams, Timmy D. Gibson (Rose), Lisa Crabtree (Bobby Bowden), Matilda King (Benny) and Victoria Lay (Twenty); his sister Darlene Cross; and his close friends, Becky Davis and Cliff Jennings. He is also survived by Twenty-One Grandchildren; Twenty-five Great-Grandchildren.
