It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Kathryn Smithers Russell (Huntsville, Tennessee), who passed away on August 24, 2018, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent-in-law Hermon Russell; her grandparents, James Mount, Gussie Sexton, McClinic Smithers, Minnie Smithers and Flona Jeffers; her aunt Cassie Faye Williams; her daughter Diana Gail Williams; and also, Reba Russell, Don Smithers, Lorene Smithers, Arnold Smithers, Peggy Smithers, Dillard Sexton, Willa Sexton, Nadine Carroll, Floyd Sexton, Homer Gene Sexton and James Sexton.
She is survived by: her husband Lonnie Gene Russell of Huntsville; her sister-in-law Betty Lou Cheatham (Claude) of West Carrolton; and her cousins, Carrie Sue Phillips, Debbie Harness, Becky Smithers, Jackie West, Patsy Jeffers, Diana LeMaster, Sharon Myers, Denny Carroll and Bridget Hamlett. She is also survived by her daughter that she loved dearly, Daphne Lewis and husband Matt, who she thought of as a son; (2) granddaughters.
