It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Smith in Huntsville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Mary Karen Smith; her parents, J. J. Sharp and Erie West Sharp; and her siblings, Douglas Sharp, Jake (Dolores Sharp), Joe (Alene Sharp), Jean (Wesley Riggins), Liz (Vernon West), Mae (Charles Chitwood), Joyce Loy and Judy (Joe Purcell).
She is survived by: her sons, William Scott Smith (Cynthia) of Oak Ridge and John Steven Smith (Jennifer) of Murfreesboro; her grandsons, Isaac, Andrew and Matthew Smith; and her siblings, Roger Sharp (late Shirley) of Oak Ridge and Nancy Johnson (Bill) of Jamestown. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
To minimize risk of Covid-19 exposure, immediate family will be present for a short graveside committal service at Carson Memorial Cemetery, officiated by Brother Kyle Keeton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntsville Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall Fund, 185 Woodland Place, Huntsville, TN 37756 or the Museum of Scott County located at 400 Scott High Drive, Huntsville TN, 37756.
