He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Harness and Martha Allred Harness; his son David Harness; and his siblings, Harvey, Leroy, Benny, Luther, Walter, Omar, Mac Harness, Ally, Lucille, Ollie, Hattie, Grace and Norrie.
He is survived by: his close friend Minnie Richardson; his grandchildren, Daniel Harness, Billy Harness, Jason Harness and Angel Harness; and his brother Carl Harness. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
