He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edgar Strunk and Gertie Louise Strunk McWhorter; his siblings, Patsy Phillips and George Billy Strunk; his brothers-in-law, Earl Phillips, David Lowe and Joe Strunk; and the mother of his children Janet Sue Strunk.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Strunk Adkins (Jeremy) of Straight Fork, Eddie D. Strunk Jr. (Brandi) of Oneida and Hope Jeffers of Georgia; his grandchildren, Trey Whaley (Makayla) of Oneida, Chelsea Carson (Brandan) of Huntsville, Isaiah Whaley (Gracie) of Huntsville, Elijah Whaley of Huntsville, Jeremiah Adkins (Shyann) of Helenwood, Zhaan Reed, Arian Strunk of Oneida, Tori Jeffers and Anna Jeffers of Georgia; his great grandchildren, Cohen Jay Whaley, Allie Mae Adkins and Casen Reid Adkins; his sisters, Flora Ann Lowe of Oneida and Rose Mae Phillips of Georgia; his siblings-in-law, Russell Phillips of Georgia, Kenny Strunk (Lavonne) of Huntsville, Bo Strunk of Indiana, Imogene Coble (Bob) of Indiana, Betty Gibson (Larry) and Ruby Chambers of Indiana; and his nieces and nephews, Robert Lowe (Velma), Ricky Lowe (Lisa), David Lowe (Leisha), Danny Lowe (Susan), Allen Phillips (Melanie), Jerry Phillips, Sherry Keeton, Mona Lowe, Tonda McCurdy (Mackey), Wendy Bishop (Chris), April Smith (Sean) and Sandra Townsend (Rick).
