With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorsey Lee Newport Sr. (Huntsville, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt Newport and Artie Lawson Newport; his siblings, Henry Newport, Junior Newport, Bud Lawson and Betty Jean Land; and his nephew Ronnie Harness.
He is survived by: his grandmother Mae Newport; his child Jackie Hicks (Lee Newport, Jr.); his grandchildren, Kiana Bunch, Tanner Hicks, Jacob Newport, Alex Newport and Sawyer Newport; his great grandchild Gabrielle Bunch; his brother Archie Newport; his niece Anna Harness; and his nephew Shane Day.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Four Oaks Funeral Home, Inc. - Huntsville (2889 Baker Hwy, Huntsville, TN 37756). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hutson Cemetery.
