He was predeceased by: his mother Cathy Vernon (Carter). He is survived by: his children, Summer Wilbanks, Trevor Wilbanks, Haylee Wilbanks and Mary Lea Koonce; and his siblings, Christy Simmons, Jacob Helton and Casey Helton. He is also survived by two grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
