She was predeceased by: her parents, Bemis Mikel and Vivian Mikel (Guffey); and her husband Freddie Gifford. She is survived by: her children, Dawn Alonso (Wayne), Dewayne Culpepper (Sheila), Randy Culpepper and Tera Rhoton (Harold); and her siblings, Sonny Mikel, John Mikel, Jeff Mikel, Latisha Mikel, Darlene Bloosner and Roger Mikel.
