Ruth Carol Savage Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Carol Savage of Huntingdon, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Ruth departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruth leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Gaskins and Maelean Dunn; and her siblings, Pamela Bogash, Anna Gaskins and John Gaskins.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Newsome of Huntingdon, Tennessee; her children, Miranda Savage (Emily) of Ludlow, Kentucky, Katherine Gilmer (Keith) of Conway, Arkansas, Fred Savage Jr. of Henry and Matthew Savage (Vickie) of Sherwood, Arkansas; and her brother Melvin Gaskins (Rosie) of Gary, Indiana. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dilday-Carter Funeral Home (650 High St, Huntingdon, TN 38344).
