Barbara Powell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Powell of Huntingdon, Tennessee, who passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Thomas and Angie Nesbitt Looney; her husband Bob (Bob); her son Bob Powell; her niece Suzanne Looney Shackelford; and her daughter-in-law Rhonda Powell.

She is survived by: her children, Angie Tipton (Lee) and Tommy Powell (Janet); her grandchildren, Matt Tipton, Clay Tipton, Nathan Powell, Amanda Powell Pruitt and Katie Tipton Parham; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Pruitt, Karlee Pruitt, Levi Tipton, Abby Parham and Hayes Parham; and her nephews, Marvin Shackelford, Jr. and Jonathan Looney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Long Rock Methodist Church or First United Methodist Church.
