He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Vergie and John Henry Perry; his wife Essie Mae; his stepdaughter Rosemary Unachukwu; his brother John Henry Perry; and his sisters-in-law, Lerlie Ruth Perry and Frances Perry.
He is survived by: his children, John M. Perry, Bobbie J. Perry of Humboldt, James Perry (Sandy) of Memphis, Laura White (David) of Pinson, Eric L. Perry of Humboldt and Shirley Corry of Nashville; his brothers, Finis Perry of Jackson, TN, Vernell Perry (Diane) of Indianapolis, IN and David Mays of Jackson, TN; his sisters-in-law, Myrtle Beard and Myrtle Fitzgerald of Humboldt; and his close friends, Lamont Shepard and Carolyn Wade of Humboldt, TN.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
